On the way to Dambulla the bus got a flat tyre while driving across the heavily flooded roads and most of the men aboard made it their business to lend a helping hand. When we arrived in Dambulla we went for a hike and ended up on top of this big rock with the most incredible views watching storms wash over the forrests that surrounded us 360 degrees nearly as far as the eye could see in all directions. On the way back down we heard an elephant cutting loose in the forrest. The rickshaw driver that was with us made us run as fast as we could to high tail it out of there . . . "Madam/Sir ele-fant wery danger! We must running to tuk-tuk".

MARKET . . . COLOMBO . . . SRI LANKA . . .
We had a 2hour wait for our train to Anuradhapura from Colombo so I decided to go for a quick rip around the train station and found the most incredible little market place. Hands down my favorite photography experiences from the trip, people were chasing me down the small little slum like alleyways asking me to come to their shops to take portraits of them, their mothers or their fresh produce. One of the poor mango sellers was in a real bad way and one of his friends told me he was dying of cancer, just look into those withering eyes, I hope he is hanging in there and my Rupees helped him out in some way.
