DORRIGO. AUSTRALIA. DAY 1.

This trip was for Sophies birthday a year ago. She hadn't really been to a rainforest before so I thought I would buy her a ticket to Coffs and wizz her up for an weekend amongst the huge trees, Liar Birds and many waterfalls that Dorrigo has to offer.
We made a big ass fire under shelter as the rain roared outside. Smoked a mandatory camping joint, laid down in the hammock to test them out, passed out and wok up at 7am.

TROUT-TOPIA, NIMBIN. AUSTRALIA.

Troutopia is heaven. It is based just outside of Nimbin surrounded in pristine nature and pastoral land. Big Erik Cole had done himself a mischief, slamming on his hip multiple times on the first day of the trip (and repeated to do so after this photo a couple more times). I cant remember any fine details from the trip although I remember a few stories from Danger Dave. He elaborately jumped around with a beer in his hand telling with mouth and full blown body language about when he lost control of his car shooting it off the side of a cliff and lived to tell the story. I could never tell it as well as him so if you ever come by the bloke, ask him yourself.

SYDNEY FOR A WEEKEND. AUSTRALIA.

Went skating with all the boys out west to some really amazing ditch spot. Kiril nearly noseblunted the shit out of it. It was also my mate Jyes birthday. He's a bit of a cool guy these days. It was a Sunday night so there wasn't much to do so we took him to a raging gay club in-which he got his shirt ripped off and molested (willingly) by many a sweaty man. Happy birthday ya dickhead. Ok this is stupid now this is like 14months behind.

THE BONNY HILLS EXPRESS. AUSTRALIA.

We had to wait just past Newcastle for my little brother who was attending university there at the time who was hitching a ride up north. Couldnt help but shoot a selfy by this field. The drive back up was amazing and that crazy city starting with an S behind us, the weekend now only a hazey memory.

ROYAL NATIONAL PARK. SYDNEY. AUSTRALIA.

I love leaving Sydney city, driving 45 mins south and going down to this waterhole that we found deep in the center of the park. It use to be used regularly by local Aboriginal people as a resting place. I camped there one night and just before we put the fire on some weird guy emerged from the bush with a machete and 1 flipper. He completely ruined the good pre fire camp vibes and the rest of the night was a bit of a shamozal, sleeping in and out of caves dodging rain and being chased by some lingering dream time spirits.
It was also my little brothers 21st birthday around this time which was insanely wild. No photos as I was busy being the token older idiot brother.

BOTTLE BUTT & BAGO BLUFF. WAUCHOPE. OZ.

I was always super excited for visits from Sophiecita. At the time she was living in Sydney and me 4 hours away up in the hills of Bonnys. We made an adventure out of each weekend getting deep into surrounding nature, sexing in many strange nature spots, seemed toalways be pealing of leeches and as soon as she would arrive it would be goodbye again.
On this day at Bago Bluff we saw a huge wedge tailed eagle, the largest eagle we have down under. It had a wing span of 3ish meters and soared from way out west to overhead in around 10minutes. But the funny thing is to drive that far it would take well over an hour. Get out of the city and dive into the real world.

TREE WORKS. SWAMPS & LOGS. OZ.

We were working hard as the summer sun cooked our skin. The 'Rangers' (Term for Red headed person in Oz) were cooking double time. Fallen tree removals in swamps, literally swimming under water to hook winch chains on. Large tree felling on rurul lots, toclimbing 40 plus meter trees. A beer in the arvo never tasted so good, usually washed down with some thorough chainsaw maintenance.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY POP. BONNY HILLS PUB. OZ.

Im exactly a year behind with my blogs now. Today is my Grandfathers 87 birthday, gonna go join him for a pub meal and beer. He's a pure gentleman, who has stories for days, loves horse racing, swears by drinking midis as schooners 'Get ya too bloody pissed too quickly' (even though he finished in a 1/4 of the time it takes for me to drink a schooner). Happy birthday Pop.
