For the last year that we had been living in La Coruna we had discussed numerous times about doing a little weekend trip to Islas Cies which is situated off the coast of Galicia in North Western Spain. My little sister was in town so there was no better time to check it out.
The car was packed the girls bought wine and other snacks and I invested in some 22 cent beers. We drove south, struggled for what seemed to be hours looking for a car space and climbed aboard the ferry and set off for the short 30 minute trip to the island. Like camels we scampered fully loaded to our camping spot and then set off exploring the island. The girls chilled on the beach and I went in search of the highest vantage point to watch the sunset.
