On the way to Dambulla the bus got a flat tyre while driving across the heavily flooded roads and most of the men aboard made it their business to lend a helping hand. When we arrived in Dambulla we went for a hike and ended up on top of this big rock with the most incredible views watching storms wash over the forrests that surrounded us 360 degrees nearly as far as the eye could see in all directions. On the way back down we heard an elephant cutting loose in the forrest. The rickshaw driver that was with us made us run as fast as we could to high tail it out of there . . . "Madam/Sir ele-fant wery danger! We must running to tuk-tuk".
