Enjoying a cup of tea & a Buddhist approved veggie burger as the train slowly chugged its way up through the sub tropical rainforest to the religious capital, Kandy.
Kandy to me was not so appealing but it was a great place to be based to explore the vast mountainous countryside and meet the friendly, generous peoples who worked on the tea plantations up in the hills.
