MELBOURNE . . . AUSTRALIA

I spoke to Syd and he advised me to get to Callums little brothers 18th birthday party ASAP were a couple homies were kicking it and besides that there was a whole roasted lamb which Callum proceeded to rip into pieces! After Callum terrorized his little brothers party we blazed it to the city, running into lots of people including a drunken Jake Hayes. I stupidly thought I had to meet the Austrians that night so I skated around the city for hours in search of them with no luck (as they were actually arriving the following night).

The following day we skated around the city and had all round funny man Cameron Sparkes with us, who was up in arms when we found the Gaylord restaurant. I hit it to the bus station again that night and fell asleep for hours on the ground  surrounded by other sleeping bodies, when i awoke at about 2.30am the Austrians were stepping of their bus, and had smuggled liters of rum into one of the most alcohol expensive countries in the world!!!

The following day we bombed it around town, hit the beach at St Kilda and took down a few of those smuggled bottles with the boys at Lang St, and of course Andrew Prior ranted and raved until early hours of the morning producing endless laughs.

Thomas and Alex are always down for saving the odd dollar, bin raiding at the local fruit market in Prahran became a daily routine. The first mission was no doubt our most successful, finding a bunch of perfect fruit including some of the biggest avocados which would actually cost $3 (2.50 euro) each in the shop. Later in the afternoon we spoke with Syd and it was confirmed that we were going to head down to Callums holiday house in Moggs Creek for the next few days . . . we nailed a cheeky happy hour jug of beer stocked up on supplies, said goodbye to Prior and Gayfag and we were off on a mission to loose many more brain cells.       

Kicking it with G Rad in Sydney.

I went for lunch with my longtime skate homie turned Clairvoyant Healer Nathan Ho. He gave me book that he recently wrote about a trip he embarked on to Hawaii were he ended up meeting the love of his life, who he actually knew from a past life from 30,000 years ago, very interesting read so say the least. 

Kicking it with Jackson (G Rad) has always been one of my favorite past times and while in Sydney for this little stay i got  good dosage. One day we skated some spots around my mums house Dane and some other homies were also in the mix and as usual Dane did some insane street hammers while Jackson got broke off while filming hahahaha!  

Another day G Rad took me on a mission down south to this fun skatepark and to check out a glow worm cave. The glow worms were amazing and the place was so creepy, an old railway tunnel, we went so deep that u could barely see the light at the other end . . . tunnel seems endless!!! 

When night fell we cruised to check out this house in his area that was completely covered in Christmas decorations. We were so lucky because we met the man and he said this was going to be the last night EVER that he was going to have them up after 20 odd years. 

The following day i stopped by my old pops once again for a cheeky vodka as the following day I was heading to Melbourne and Tasmania with some Austrian friends.

 

G RAD and Vegetable Patch!

G-Rad and i were trying to film some funny tailblock thing, he was trying to run a full 360 around me while filming, slipped out, nearly capped his camera but ended up taking off a load of skin!

For some years now I have had a passion for self sufficient living, and have been reading some books and watching various documentaries on the topic. My mum nowadays also is every interested in the same topic and is completely die hard in terms of living a healthy lifestyle in regards to eating fresh organic vegetables/fruit blah blah blah. So when i was in Sydney for a week I spent 1 day ripping up the useless lawn, aerating and adding soil from under our compost and now she has 2 gardens jam packed with fresh organic vegetables/berries/spices. I was seriously blown  away at how easy it was to grow lettuce (she has 5 varieties), cherry tomatoes, we also had cucumber, strawberries, pumpkin (which self seeded, possibly from the compost), spinach, silver beet and many others. If even have a square meter of lawn in your backyard, rip it up and make use of the space!!! Theres also a range of growing techniques to have gardens inside an apartment if u dont have a yard available! Nothing tastes better then vegetables straight of the tree . . . tomatoes and lettuce have never tasted the same for me ever since!

New South Wales, Mid North Coast . . . Australia

My friends Jamie and Dave randomly stopped by at my dads for a weekend. We adventured up deep into the forrest to check out the biggest tree in New South Wales the 'Bird Tree'. Although i have been up there on numerous occasions before its size and the tranquility of the bush always blows me away. Dave is your stereotypical Australian bushman type character and trudged through the leech/tick infested bush barefoot . . . On the way home we saw one of the biggest kangaroos ive seen in a long time roadside having a sleep, would hate to see how the car looked after hitting this bad boy! 

The following day Dave took us for a little whip around in his new set up which he is slowly hoping to drive around Australia. Unfortunately 2 months later he was heading back down south  passing by my dads for a few days work as the gear box and brakes had completely blown out and was now low on funds! Hope your back on the road again mate!

NEW YEARS ROADTRIP . . . AUSTRALIA

Just some photos from the trusty old point and shoot camera. Our 'goon sack' (5 litre bag of wine with a little tap attached, cheapest way to drink in Australia also known as a 'cask of wine') hit the ground and exploded and ive never seen Nathan move so fast, doing everything in his power to salvage every last drop and within seconds the remainder of the wine was in a bucket . . . over the course of the night people would pass by and pour random amounts of alcohol to his bucket collection which resulted in a very drunk young man. A big thanks to my boss in Barcelona Sandra for hooking me up with a bottle for New Years ! ! !
